How To Protect Your Yu Gi Oh Cards
A spilled drink can ruin a hundred dollars worth of Yu Gi Oh cards in a matter of moments, if they are unprotected. Wednesday, March 10, 2010
In the modern world of collectible card games, protecting your Yu Gi Oh cards has become increasingly important. People that play these games invest quite a bit of money, which means they want to protect their Yu Gi Oh cards, as well as cards from other games. If you were playing with your Yu Gi Oh cards and someone spilled a drink, you could easily have a hundred dollars worth of cards destroyed in ten seconds.
When you store your Yu Gi Oh cards, you need to keep them protected and safe. There are a few options here. If you have ever collected baseball cards, you might have seen plastic pages that fit into binders to hold your cards. These pages are relatively inexpensive, and can be put into a binder for added protection. These sleeves protect your cards from warping and moisture, especially if you keep the binder in a secure place.
If you have thousands of Yu Gi Oh cards you need to store, you can use a mass storage box like a specialty cardboard box. These white boxes (the standard size is about the same as a shoe box) can hold anywhere from one, to four thousand cards. These boxes are great for storing all your extra cards, though they do not provide the best protection possible. You should avoid storing valuable cards in these boxes, just in case of disaster.
When you are using your Yu Gi Oh cards in a game, you can put them in protective plastic sleeves, called deck protectors, to keep them safe. These sleeves come in all sorts of colors and patterns. They are sold at a generally low price, and are available in most gaming stores that also sell cards.
Unless you want to see your Yu Gi Oh cards get destroyed, you should protect them as best as possible. Whether you need storage for individual Yu Gi Oh cards, or storage for thousands of extras, there is a solution, if you are willing to look.
